Hey there!
In short, I am an interactive designer. I love great design, superb usability, and fresh ideas. Obviously the best work comes to fruition when all three of these exist together, and I strive to do just that on each and every project I touch. I also love coffee, everything letterpress and hoodies, but these have a little less to do with web design, at least directly. I suppose you could look at them as tools to help you get the job done, being energy, inspiration, and comfort clothes, respectively.

Me and my hubby Rob
I graduated from the wonderful New Media Design & Imaging program at Rochester Institute of Technology in 2007. We focused on excellent design, flash development, and motion graphics. From there I moved to Boston and spent a brief period of time at Arnold Worldwide working on the web-side of the fun-filled Royal Caribbean account before transitioning to The Barbarian Group.
At TBG I touched a variety of projects but spent most of my time working on Kashi.com as the creative lead. On Kashi, I worked with a team of incredibly talented designers, developers, producers and client service reps, keeping the community-driven site current and fresh, and its 300,000+ members happy. We handled everything “web” for this client – content, community initiatives, monthly newsletters, facebook integration, and more. Working on Kashi.com helped me continue to grow as a designer as well provided me with an onslaught of new experiences – like attending user testing sessions and art directing photo shoots (to name a few). It was awesome.
In October of ‘09 I started freelancing for Hunt & Gather as a contractor and am now designing awesome things there full time. The people are fantastic, the work is great, life is good.
In the little spare time that I have, you’ll often find me writing, but I do enjoy being away from my computer too. Hiking and camping are both pretty awesome. So this is only the tip of the iceberg (yes, I did just use a horrible cliché). If you wanna know more, drop me a line. We should totally chat.
